1 Second puzzle room gameplay problem on Sun Dec 15, 2013 9:05 pm

This isn't really a bug as much as it is a user error I suppose, but on v. 0.005, in the rising platforms puzzle room, I took the robot all the way back to the spot where they separated and had the girl climb all the way to the end. Once she got there, I realized that there was no way for the robot to get up there to meet her, because the door was shut. And there was no way for the girl to go back and fix it because the hole she jumped out of at the top of the tower was too high. A little gameplay glitch I thought you might want to know about.

There is a way without killing yourself, the girl needs to drop down from outside to reach the meeting place again. But that involve doing the puzzle again Smile

I tried that and it works, but I found a new way to flummox that puzzle up. I left the robot at the top of the stairway, so there was no one to keep the door to the center chamber open. I still think that if the little window at the top of the center chamber were just a bit lower, that would solve the whole problem.

Also I would never have thought of jumping down from between the two bridges at the top of the tower. At that height, she really should have taken some kind of fall damage. In real life, any fall from more than three times your height causes traumatic injury, so unless she's wearing magic "Aperture Science long-fall sandals" I would think she would break her ankles and have to have the robot carry her around for the rest of the game.

To get around this, I was able to bring the girl down to near the entrance, and the robot was able to pick her up. Yes, through the closed gate! That's probably a bug on its own.  Smile
