I kind of miss the moving platforms in the first puzzle room. I must admit that the instructions shown on the tablets in front of the levers were actually harder to understand this way, because I have no reference point from the get-go as to which pillars are east/west, and which ones are north/south. Also, sort of from an engineering standpoint, it seems like it would take less energy to move the pillars from side to side than up and down, since you are fighting against gravity. Thus, the original moving pillars were more elegant in that regard. I also miss the sneaky little shortcut that JohnGrimm found. Maybe it's just me and I got used to the way it looked and played before.

As for the second puzzle  room...well, it's mainly an issue of aesthetics I suppose. It just appears kind of silly to have all of these towers and stairs inside the building. It would make more sense if they were outside. It doesn't look like anyone is trying to make it hard for them to get out of the tower anymore, and instead it looks like a giant children's playhouse. All that's missing is the ball pool. Again, maybe this is just me being a stick-in-the-mud having gotten used to the previous versions, but it doesn't seem like the puzzles are trying to be as challenging anymore. Still, it's your game and you can make it however you want. I don't have a problem with that and this is only my opinion.

Thank you gwolffe for your thoughts.
The changes were necessary because of some feedback I had at BitSummit. For the first puzzle in particular, a lot of people did not know what to do. I think having the pillars only go up and down removes some complexity and makes that part easier, which is important for the first puzzle.
